Who We Are
D.F. Pray is a single-source contractor providing a wide range of services that include design build, preconstruction, construction management and general contracting. Our portfolio includes ground up, new construction, renovation of retail projects, including roll-outs, tenant fit-outs, commercial/industrial facilities as well as educational, public, and occupied renovations executed through our five offices: Main Office & Corporate, Seekonk, MA; Boston, MA; New Bedford, MA; Nashville, TN; New Haven, CT.
Our emphasis is on the client and their specific needs. We take the lead in managing the complex design, planning, and construction every owner faces during the preconstruction, planning phase, and/or the construction process itself, the activities and objectives of the project team are designed to create value for the client while achieving the maximum scheduling and budgetary outcomes.

Our History
Since its founding in 1959 by C. Edward Pray, D.F. Pray has been building excellence by specializing in hands-on, design build, general contracting services, regionally and nationally. Edward’s son, Scott W. Pray, continues the family tradition of building excellence started by his father. D.F. Pray currently employs over 86 industry professionals.

The PF Foundation is supported by D.F. Pray General Contractors. We had been donating to various charities for many years, when one of our own, Ron Carr, was struck with Leukemia. The PF Foundation was created in Ron’s memory and continues with him in mind as we raise funds in support of finding a cure. The “419” Sail is a reminder of Ron and his passion for sailing.
The mission of The PF Foundation (PFF) continues in its endeavors to fund research to help eradicate Leukemia and Lymphoma, Neuroblastoma, Pancreatic Cancer, and fund research for Southcoast Health.
